Last Friday, September 15, 2023, one of the staff’s prestigious potato heads was given to Ms. Irene Maninakis. Ms. Irene is the new Pharmaceutical Teacher and was happy to receive the potato head. We hope you enjoy her interview:
IHPCH Voices: Who did you receive the Potato Head from?
Ms. Irene: From Mrs. Waldron and Ms. Santiago.
IHPCH Voices: Why did Mrs. Waldron and Ms. Santiago give you the Potato Head?
Ms. Irene: I’m pretty sure they gave it to me because I’m the newcomer to the team.
IHPCH Voices: What was your initial reaction to receiving Potato Head?
Ms. Irene: Oh, I was happy. I was really happy. I was surprised. But it was a good surprise. Um, and, made me feel good. Because I’m like, official now, maybe, because I got the potato head.
IHPCH Voices: What did they add to Potato Head and how does it represent you?
Ms. Irene: So, they added the Greek flag because I’m Greek. Um, but I was born here. I was born in New York City, but my nationality is Greek. And they added the beach because as we’re getting to know each other, they were asking me what I like to do, what my favorite things are. And I said I love just sitting on the beach and going to Greece in the summer. So, that’s why.
