Potato Head: Mrs. Nelson
On March 24th, Potato Head was given to a loved member of our IHPCH staff. Mrs. Heather Nelson, a math and special education teacher, was interviewed by IHPCH Voices about receiving the Potato Head and why it is important to her. Read her responses below! We hope you enjoy!
IHPCH Voices: Who did you receive the Potato Head from?
Mrs. Nelson: Mrs. Dunkley.
IHPCH Voices: Why did Mrs. Dunkley give you the Potato Head?
Mrs. Nelson: She started off by saying that sometimes people don’t get recognized for everything that they do and then she said that she had spoken to a student who said that he liked his math teacher and she said, “Who is your math teacher?” and he said, “Mrs.Nelson”.
IHPCH Voices: What was your initial reaction to receiving the Potato Head?
Mrs. Nelson: I was surprised and I was very happy because I haven’t gotten it in a long time.
IHPCH Voices: What did they add to the Potato Head and how does it represent you?
Mrs. Nelson: She added, it said, “I love my math teacher” but the “I” was an imaginary number.
Mrs. Nelson, we thank you for spreading love to the students of the IHPCH community.
