Potato Head: Mrs. Dunkley

On March 17th, the Potato Head was given to Mrs. Simone Dunkley, the school’s beloved chemistry teacher, biology teacher and testing coordinator.  Mrs. Dunkley was interviewed by IHPCH Voices about receiving Potato Head and how she feels about it. Read her responses below. We hope you enjoy.

IHPCH Voices: Who did you receive the Potato Head from?

Mrs. Dunkley: I received my Potato Head from Mr. Gonzaga.

IHPCH Voices: Why did Mr. Gonzaga give you the Potato Head?

Mrs. Dunkley: In his short speech he mentioned that I do a lot of extra work as a testing coordinator in preparation for SAT and PSAT so he wanted to acknowledge me for that.

IHPCH Voices: What was your initial reaction to receiving the Potato Head?

Mrs. Dunkley: I was surprised. I feel like some of the things that I do go unnoticed so it was a nice surprise.

IHPCH Voices: What did they add to the Potato Head and how does it represent you?

Mrs. Dunkley: He added a number 2 pencil behind the ear because during the SAT and PSAT you have to use pencil on everything and I’m always walking around with packs of pencils in case students need, so that was cute.

Congratulations Mrs. Dunkley! Thank you for being such a generous individual and for all your hard work.
